The Chesser Cellar was established in 1964 in one of the many empty warehouses owned by the Wyatt Benevolent Trust in Chesser St, Adelaide. Chesser's posseses a rich and vivid history, which is still owned by restauranteur Primo Caonwho is intent on keeping it alive. After more than 40 years, the decadent interior surrounds you while you browse through the seasonal A la carte menu and extensive wine list.
 
The Chesser Cellar has now become a well established restaurant, wine bar, cafe, function venue and bottle shop. It also prides itself on hosting many established groups such as The First Release Wine Club.  Primo is also proud to host his annual "Champagne Dinner" which keeps growing in popularity.
 
The Adelaide City Council have approved plans for making Chesser Street a pedestrian way, allowing outdoor European style dining in the warmer months, or a glass of bubbly or coffee .... under the vines.
